Lumber Pullers
Responsible for performing various duties relative to the production and packaging of kiln dried lumber. Will pull lumber off inspection chain into appropriate buggy according to length grade mark. Standing, twisting, and lifting 100% of time with weights of up to 70 lbs.
General cleaning of work areas.
Strapping up packages before being pulled from workstation. Use skill saw to trim lumber up as needed
Required skills:
Ability to see and understand grade marks on lumber and basic arithmetic
Ability to work in outside environment 100 percent of the time
Requires use of hands, arms and feet for repetitive lifting 90 percent of the time. Arms and hands for use of skill saw and strapping equipment 10 percent of the time.
Requires ability to hear essential job commands and visually and see the marks on the lumber.
They provide 1 set of safety glasses and gloves. After that, employees must purchase. Wear comfortable clothes and workboots. Not climate controlled.
