Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and investigations to determine the safety and well-being of children - Develop and implement intervention plans to address child protection concerns - Collaborate with families, caregivers, and community resources to support child safety and well-being - Provide crisis intervention and support to families in high-risk situations - Monitor and evaluate progress of intervention plans and make necessary adjustments - Maintain accurate and up-to-date case documentation and records - Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and court hearings as required - Advocate for the best interests of children and ensure their voices are heard
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field1 - Experience working with children, preferably in child protective services or child welfare - Knowledge of child development, behavioral health, and trauma-informed care - Strong crisis management and conflict resolution skills - Ability to assess risk and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Proficient in conducting interviews using motivational interviewing techniques - Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to child protection Note:
